Stereotypes generated by obsolete ignorance are perpetuated and reproduced. But is there a common denominator? What is the “I” underneath all these constructions? Is there something underneath all these social colonizations? Or is the individual doomed to exist as an amalgam of pre-constructions? How many structures inhabit the body I take as mine?

About Natacha Campos

Of Angolan descent, she graduated from the School of Dance in 2018, highlighting her contact with Jácome Filipe, Maria Ramos, Madalena Vitorino, and Pietro Romani. From 2018 to 2020, she attended the Performact training program in Torres Vedras, where she consolidated her training and crossed paths with Eddy Becquart, Chloé Beilevaire, Ted Stoffer, Magalie Lanriot, and Iñaki Azpillaga. She completed the Show Production course taught by Patrícia Pires. Currently, she is finishing her master’s degree in Performing Arts at FCSH, Nova University of Lisbon.

As a performer, she has worked on creations by Pietro Romani, Beatriz Cantinho, Marta Jardim, Sofia Dias and Vítor Roriz, Rui Catalão, Constanza Givone, Joana Castro, and Cláudia Semedo, among others. She highlights “Escala” (2021) by Sofia Dias and Vitor Roriz, “Ivone” (2022) by Rui Catalão, and “Casa com Árvores Dentro” (2022) by Cláudia Semedo at CDA. Natacha starts her work as a curator in “Ecossistema.danças.corpos,” a program of encounters co-curated with Cláudia Galhós as part of the Ordem do O’s programming in partnership with Estúdios Vítor Córdon.

As a creator, she developed the project “THEFRUIT – an occidental title” (part of the Interferências’21 Residencies program), the solo piece “Other than you, you” (2020), and “Faded” (2019) (video-dance) and “Mechanical Animal” (2023).
