O Som e a Fúria
Sound and Fury is a story told by four different voices, which celebrates a moment of entrance into a new century, the bidding of farewell to a way of life and the embracing of a new future. It is inspired by the structure of William Faulkner’s 1929 novel, The Sound and The Fury, basing itself around the novel’s narrative and creating a sound-space for the end of time. In this show, sound is used to drive the narrative forward. As it appears throughout, it imposes itself and sets a pace, characterizing the new world that the characters begin to inhabit.
