Imaginary Friends
Imaginary Friends is a performance film in which the audience is invited to watch the screening of a film in the making stage, which is sounded live in a foley studio *. A speculation about what cinema might be, taking advantage of one of the most used devices to construct the illusion of truth.
A dilettante director and three non-professional foley performers make the film a score. In a neo-cubist space, truth is liberated from perceptive automatism, paving the way at random and evoking ghosts – the imaginary friends.
Foley (or Bruitage) is a technique for creating studio-recorded sound effects, where sounds of footsteps, slamming doors, thunder, etc., are reproduced by soundscreens in sync with the film for the purpose of giving more realism. to the scenes.
