Uber Alles

In “Über Alles” the banal and universal nature of modern nationalism is explored, infiltrating our daily lives in the form of small symbols and language habits that define the idea of “we”.
Taking national anthems as a starting point, we explore history and stories, elements of iconography, and sociology. We reflect on the role that these songs play in the construction of the nation’s mythology and the dynamics of inclusion and exclusion associated with this process.
