Transmissão – Ciclo de teatro do imaginário
TRANSMISSÃO (Transmission) is a celebration of radio play that works as a way of resistance. It’s an answer on the visual supremacy, choosing hearing over seeing, body and dialogue. We believe that ‘hearing’ broadens the body and brings shivers to our skin. Above all is a question: Can we listen with our eyes open? That’s the challenge we offer. Lets shut down our computers and cell phones and hear the world inside our imagination – that grand landscape no lockdown limits.
Lets play with our loneliness until we fall in love with the outside world again. Let’s be as one, as another as no-one, as wind and thunder, as screams and as waves.
Lets make a special transmission!
UMCOLETIVO is a collective that focuses on developing creative projects bases on theater, performance and the word – working it in a way of rewrite, voice and real-time.
The structure is based in Elvas, Portugal. The work is influenced by the relation with the territory and the city itself – Its border condition, its decentralized place in the country and the quotidian use of Portuguese and Spanish. We look to shatter the frontiers between different artistic media, creating hybrid objects.
